LTC William Kobbe

LTC Will Kobbe is married to the former Ms. Sara Minichino from Eastchester, NY. They have a daughter, Reagan Lynn. He commissioned in the US Army through Villanova University’s Reserve Officer Training Corps in 2005.

Upon completion of the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, LTC Kobbe reported to A Company, 407th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. He deployed on a Global Response Force mission to Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

LTC Kobbe assumed command of F Company, 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in May of 2009 and commanded the Company through their deployment to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in support of Operation Unified Response. Post command, LTC Kobbe attended the Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course and then served as an Observer Controller Trainer at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Ca. While at NTC, LTC Kobbe accepted a teaching position at the United States Military Academy in the Department of Physical Education.

LTC Kobbe graduated from the US Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS, in 2018. While at CGSC, Will attended the Regimental Assessment and Selection Program for the 75th Ranger Regiment. After graduation, Will served one year as the Support Operations Officer and two years as the Regimental S4 at Fort Benning, GA. While serving with the Regiment, LTC Kobbe deployed multiple times in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel.

His education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Villanova University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University.

His awards include the Combat Action Badge, the Ranger Tab, the Senior Parachutist Badge, the Pathfinder Badge, and the Air Assault Badge. His decorations include the Bronze Star (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal (1OLC),  Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal.
