Senior Military Instructor
A native of Illinois, Master Sergeant Jefferey D. Crossman (J.D.) graduated Basic training from the United States Army Armor Center in 1995, and was awarded the Military Occupation Specialty of 19K, M1A1 Armor Crewman.
MSG Crossman has held every position on the M1A1 Main Battle Tank, and every leadership position as an Armor Non Commissioned Officer to include being a Rifle, Recon, and Headquarters Troop First Sergeant. MSG Crossman has been stationed abroad to both Germany and Korea. He has multiple deployments in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom and has deployed to Bosnia in support of Operation Joint Forge. He has also participated in Operation Atlantic Resolve (Poland), and Operation Brave Warrior (Hungary). Before arriving to the Fighting Irish Battalion he was a member of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.
MSG Crossman is a graduate of all required levels of the Non Commissioned Officer Education System. He also has successfully completed the Non Commissioned Officer Battle Staff Course, Inspector General’s Course, and SHARP/Victim’s Advocate Course.
MSG Crossman’s awards and decorations include: The Bronze Star Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with one silver and one oak leaf cluster, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters. Army Good Conduct Medal 7th Award, National Defense Service Medal 2nd Award, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghan and Iraq Campaign Medals, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, National Defense of Korea Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon 3rd Award, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon 5th Award, and the NATO Metal 2nd Award. He has also earned the Combat Action Badge, Track and Wheeled Drivers Badge, German Marksmanship Badge, and the Gold and Silver Cavalry Spurs.MSG Crossman is a member of the Order of Saint George, the Excellence In Armor program, and is a Draper Armor Leadership Award recipient.
